County Seeks Proposals for Countywide Broadband Service: The Harrison County Economic Development Corporation hereby invites respondents to submit proposals for Harrison County countywide wireless broadband. Harrison County, Indiana, roughly 486 square miles, has a population of approximately 37,000 people living in what is predominately a rural setting. Harrison County’s largest city and county seat, Corydon (pop. 2,787), was Indiana’s first state capital.

Respondents must submit any questions concerning the RFP no later than Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 4:00 PM EST. Responses to Respondent questions will be posted to http://www.harrisonchamber.org no later than Friday, March 21, 2008. The Harrison County Economic Development Corporation will receive proposals until Monday, April 21, 2008, at 4:00 PM. No proposals will be accepted after the stated deadline.
